Bashir Mosavel-Lo and Deep Deep Run Squad Dominate RVA Relays Championship Race

There were a lot of fun races to watch the RVA Relays but this one could have been the most exciting, especially if you are a Deep Run fan.

The Wildcats and especially Bashir ran their way into the record books by finishing the 5x2500m in 37:46. That time set a new meet record on a longer more accurate course than 2015. This race also saw Bashir split a very fast 7:06 which would equate to 14:12 pace for a 5K on this course. That is 4:34 mile pace.

The Deep Run senior did that in style though by making up a nearly 20 second deficit in the first 1250m and never looked back. It made for an exciting race that saw three of the top five splits come from this Deep Run squad.

When that many guys step up it shows that this team cannot be fully counted out of some title hopes this XC season.
