Ott Still Blowing Past Peers

Even with a 10-second head start, Adam Ott had no chance and he knew it.

More than perhaps anyone else, the Turner Ashby High School junior understands the gut-wrenchingly frustrating but yet awe-inspiring exercise that is running with his stepbrother, Alex, so he knew what was coming. He shares a home and a last name with the defending Massanutten District and Region III cross country champion, but he doesn't share the genes that constructed the seemingly flawless distance dynamo.

So whenever the two run together, he just hopes Alex lets him keep up.
