Morris Twins Born 9 Minutes Apart Shine & Go 1-2 for Loudoun Valley

Peter may be nine minutes older than little sister Natalie, but he was not the first to bring home some hardware this weekend.

It is no secret that this was a huge weekend for Loudoun Valley. They dominated the boys competition and came very close on the girls side to winning a team title. They return all the boys team scorers and six from the girls team including their top three.

Up first for the Vikings was the Girls 4A Championship. Natalie attacked the race, passed Libby and separated just after the halfway point. She ultimately fell just short of taking home the state title but improved four places from her 6th place finish a year ago. She also pr'd on the state course by a large margin with her 18:19 runner-up time.

Just a few minutes later her older brother, Peter Morris, took to the Great Meadow course. He, just like Natalie, did not make his move until late in the race. That is when he opened up a slight lead and never looked back. He went on to run a blazing fast 15:14 to clock the second fastest time of the meet behind only Waleed Suliman.

Though Peter is definitely the bigger star of the family right now, after taking a look at Natalie's profile you can see both are on an upward path to stardom. Both have one more year and return as the state favorites next year both individually and as a team.

Could this really be the start of a Morris-Loudoun Valley dynasty?
