Titiana Marsh Hopped, Skipped, and Jumped VA State Record 43-4!

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Thomas Dale junior and All-American, Titiana Marsh triple jumped her way into the record books this weekend. Her best jump of 43-4 completely shattered the previous Virginia State Record of 42-9.5 set back in 1987! That record was previously held by Lake Braddock Secondary's Dana Boone.

Though her 43-4 is extremely impressive and a US #2 and US #15 All-Time mark, it was also impressive seeing her progression through the competition. For once, she actually jumped all six jumps so maybe her coach Jay Price knew something big was coming.

She opened with a conservative 39-8.5, followed that with a 41-6 and then a 42-2.5 to close out prelims. She returned in finals to with a foul, then a 42-5, and finally her monstrous 43-4 state record.

Titiana came back on Saturday to take home the long jump title with her 19-7.25 first attempt. She passed the next five jumps.
