10. How Good Will The Small School Stars Be?

It goes without saying that too often the "small school" stars don't get the same coverage as their large school counterparts. That's not going to be the case this weekend with some major stars in action at Green Hill Park.

In the boys' Red Race we will see 3A defending Champion Karl Thiessen (pictured) face off with the stars of our state and elsewhere. He will be joined by 2A defending state champion William Miller of James River (B). Both these guys are in great shape and honestly just as good as nearly anyone else in the state. If no one wants to push the pace too hard to start then one of these Green Hill park veterans may run their way to the title.

In the girls' Red Race its going to be Jessey Ball's turn to shine. The defending 2A state champion will look to improve on her other two races this season and have a big early season performance. She owns a pr under 19:00 so you can expect if she puts it all together that her time will be fast and mid 18s.
