Hampton (Va.) University senior Septima Glenn, a 2005 graduate of
Blue Ridge, returned to her alma mater's track this week for practice and to talk with coaches and current Tiger track and field athletes.
Glenn is majoring in print journalism, looking to pursue a career in corporate communications.
During Glenn's freshman year at Blue Ridge she made the all-state team in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes. Glenn won the 200 title as a freshman.
As a sophomore, Glenn won state titles in the 100, 200 and 400. She was on the Tigers' winning 400-meter relay team. Glenn won the 200 and 400 state titles as a junior and concluded her high school career with 100, 200 and 400 state medals in 2005.
