Why did Imagine Patterson Choose Virginia Tech?


What made you decide to commit to Virginia Tech?
I loved everything about the school. It felt perfect.

How did you make the final decision and who was involved?
I just went with what felt right. I made the decision on my own.

What did you experience on each visit?
I only visited VT because I knew that it was the school for me. I got to go to the Clemson vs. VT game and it was my first college football game.

What were your top five choices?
It's all about Virginia Tech!

Who was involved in the process for you?
My mom and my coaches.

How did you get involved in the sport and why?
I started running because I wanted to find something I was good at so I went to a track meet to see if I would be interested.

What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning how to hurdle.

What did you learn from the experience?
I'm still learning!

How is training now?
It's indoor season now, so training is normal.

Any top events already preparing for the upcoming seasons?
I'm not sure.

How do you look at your time at
Summerville?
It was great and I made a lot of memories.

What will you miss the most?
I will miss some of my teachers and practice with my teammates the most.

How do you rate the last season?
I would give it an 8. This upcoming season will be a 10.

How do you look at the history and being part at Summerville?
It makes me feel good knowing that I could add on to the legacy that Summerville has already built for itself.

What would you say is the biggest memory you have?
Definitely breaking the state record and also winning my first national title.

What do you hope to study and otherwise achieve in college?
Computer Programming; I would like to be the best person that I can be.

How does it feel to have the decision made prior to the season?
It's comforting because now I don't have to stress.
