South Lakes super sophomore, Hannah Waller, made the most of her outdoor debut. She blazed the southern California track to the tune of a VA #17 All-time 11.76 100m dash performance. This time was good enough for her to finish 6th overall in a legal wind.
Hannah looked strong throughout and already is showing us a sneak peak of what this season will be like. Year over year she is 0.62 seconds faster meaning if she continues the trend from last year that the state record could very well be in danger this season.
That record is Keilah Tyson's 11.39 set back in 2011 at the AAA state meet. Hannah's time is also the 4th fastest time ever for a Northern Region athlete. Benita Fitzgerald of Garfield is that record holder with her 1979 time of 11.62.
