Without a doubt the biggest meet this weekend in Virginia is the 16th annual Real Deal Track Classic to be run at Todd Stadium. Headlining this meet are strong athletes from over 40 different teams entered in over 3,000 events!
In the sprint events it looks to be a FUMA and Team War group leading the way. Kori Carter is entered in the 400 and her teammates Brene Donaldson, Trebreh Scott-McCoy, and Asia Crocker are entered in the 200. Nearly all of them are also entered in the long jump.
In the guys sprint events we see FUMA's Ebruba Etta entered and as the early favorite for the 200m dash. In the 110mH we will see Daiqwaun Faircloth.
The other track race to watch will be the boys' 3200 with Price Owens racing those laps in chase of a very fast time.
In the field events we are in store for a big one when it comes to the throws. Troy Yearwood leads both throws for the guys while a strong duo of Ebonie Whitted and Chelsie Wallace enter as the favorites in the shot and disc respectively.
The other big races to watch are those freshmen and JV sections where we could get some great insight into the young stars of our state.
