This season could be another one for the record books. Making their strong return to the top spot this year is Loudoun Valley. They not only won NXN last year but set the team score record as well to go on top of their sweep at states. 

Behind them entering the season are defending 3A champs, Western Albemarle, and their cross town rivals Albemarle who enter as number four.

These rankings are based on who we believe will perform best at the end of the season...i.e. who has the best team. These rankings will change though starting next week where move emphasis is put onto the factor of "what have you done lately" and less on speculation. That does mean having two-three weeks off could negatively affect a team.
