The season is not over yet but right now there is definitely a leader for the "most improved" category. That leader is Collegiate junior and VISAA State Champion Liam Bellamy. He holds this current honor with his state winning 1:52.87 800m run, an improvement of eight seconds year over year.
Not only has Liam improved a considerable amount time wise but he also can now say he is a state champion. He had to work though for that state title with St. Chris' Ian Smith battling with him to the line and finished just .06 seconds behind him.
Liam was also a member of the victorious Collegiate 4x800m relay team which ran 8:03.73. That team will only get faster considering it is comprised of three juniors and a freshman.
