St. Stephens super sophomore Malcolm Johnson Jr now owns personal bests of 10.50 and 21.40 and ranks 18th all-time in the 100m dash for Virginia. He is also now a two-time VISAA State champion with his winning 100m dash title last weekend.
That title goes along with his indoor 55m dash title which was his first of a likely many state titles.
Malcolm is not only a big name right now in VISAA or Virginia as a whole but is a big name nationally. He currently ranks 5th amongst fellow sophomores in the country.
He is also the most consistent runner amongst those top five as he is the only one to have ran within .10 seconds of his season best (10.50) multiple times. All of the other runners ahead of him may have faster times but they are wildly inconsistent compared to Malcolm who has run 10.50, 10.50, and 10.58 this season.
Up next for Malcolm will be New Balance Outdoor Nationals where he will attempt to become an all-American in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
