East 3 Seed: Kayla Davis (Hough)
Davis took home the 400m State Record as a freshman at New Balance Outdoor Nationals running 51.17. Her mark shattered the North Carolina State Record which was previously 52.74. Her record should only get faster as she is a 2022 grad. She is also NC#2 All-Time behind Mayo in the 200m at 23.08.

East 4 Seed: Connor Lane(Cardinal Gibbons)
Connor Lane broke Jake Hurysz 3200m state record at Arcadia in 2017 clocking 8:47.00. He joined Hurysz in being one of two boys under 8:50 in the 3200m in state history and is one of 15 boys who have broken 9 minutes in North Carolina history.

Mideast 1 Seed: Anna Cockrell(Providence Day)
Hurdle Queen Anna Cockrell holds all three outdoor hurdle state records with her US#13 All-Time 13.17 100mH, US#10 All-Time 40.42 300mH and US#2 All-Time 55.20 400mH.

Mideast 3 Seed: Wesley Frazier(Ravenscroft)
Frazier is one of 6 girls to ever break 16 minutes in the outdoor 5000m. Frazier ran 15:55.94 at New Balance Outdoor Nationals in 2013 in her first of three national titles in the distance events over the span of three days and stands as a US#5 All-Time mark.

Lindsay Absher edged Kristen Lee (Wakefield) for the overall North Carolina Pole Vault State Record in 2019 after clearing 13-6¼ at New Balance Indoor Nationals. Absher is one of just 6 North Carolina girls to ever break 13 feet.

West 2 Seed: Morgan Smalls(Panther Creek)
Smalls has been incredible in the jumps since she was a freshman, but the High Jump has been her bread and butter. Smalls holds an outdoor best of 6-2¼ and indoor best of 6-3¼ good for US#4 All-Time.

West 8 Seed: Cary Girls 4x800m
Cary's team of Deanna Foshee, Sheridan Jordan, Jenna Christensen and Erin Foshee clocked 9:01.23 in the 4x800m in 2011 at New Balance Outdoor Nationals. They held splits of 2:14.13, 2:14.11, 2:15.21 and 2:17.80 and are the only NC school to break 9:10 outdoors.
