Massaponax rising senior, Aaliyah Pyatt was named the Virginia Gatorade Athlete of The Year for the track season. She wins this award for her stellar performances all track season. She was one of the few athletes in the entire nation to rank inside the top five in multiple events, multiple times during the season.
Ultimately she finished the season ranked 5th all-time in the 300 and 6th all-time in the 500. Only Francena McCorory and Britton Wilson have better combined times than her.
Pyatt is also being heavily recruited by quite a few big name universities. It makes quite a bit of sense too since she is a true sprint champion. She can run elite fast times in the 55, 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500. That type of range makes her a truly unique star.
