State Champ Henderson Decides To Graduate Early

Defending state champion and the nation's top rated running back Treveyon Henderson has decided to forgo his final year in high school and graduate early. This will allow him to enroll at Ohio State University in the spring.

His announcement to graduate early comes on the heels of the VHSL's announcement that football would not be happening in the fall. This is a huge blow for Henderson and Hopewell who are coming off of an undefeated state championship 2019 season.

Henderson followed up his football state title with a victory in the 55m dash at indoor Class 3 states. His winning time of 6.48 was just off of his 6.45 PR. He ran in only three meets this indoor season but would have likely attempted to win the 100m title outdoors as well.
