MileStat.com has just received word that the VISAA, the Virginia Independent School Athletic Association (private schools), will not host a XC championship this fall. The Prep League, mostly made up of private schools in the Greater Richmond area will be having a championship this fall, likely October or November.
This news comes just a day after the VHSL (public school league) decided to move XC to February-May 2021.
It should be noted that right now the VISAA has only really said they will not be hosting championships, we will be waiting to see how many teams, since they are independent, will be running XC this fall regardless of having a championship meet or not.
