Getting to Know: Track & Field's Terrance Green and Ademola Titcombe

Terrance Green (TG) - 2011 (junior)
Ademola Titcombe (AT) - 2012 (sophomore)

Major:
TG/AT - Psychology

ROTC Branch:
TG - Army, and am commissioning.

When did you start in Track and Field and why:
TG - At age 16 during my junior year in high school. I did it to get in shape for football and fell in love with the sport.
AT - Started track in the 9th grade, because my cousin who ran track told me to try it out.

Why VMI:
TG - I Knew I could run track here and had a scholarship. Also, I needed a small school that wouldn't give me to many distractions.
AT - Wanted a challenge while getting a great education.

Favorite VMI memory:
TG - Getting my VMI ring, and getting a new personal best in the long jump with a 1 ½ foot PR.
AT - All the good times with my brother rats.

Least favorite VMI memory:
TG - Being on confinement and having already done all the PT's.
AT - Sweat parties.

Goals for the upcoming season:
TG - Jump a 24 in the long, and a 46 high in the triple.
AT - To be named all-conference, to pr in the triple and long jumps and to become a better all-around person.

Favorite movie/book and why:
TG -
Gladiator, because it has a lot of action in it, a good story line and is war oriented.
Harry Potter...It's a good read and always kept my attention
AT -
Madagascar, because I love the song "I Like to Move It", haha.
 
When you have an hour of free time, you like to...
TG - Play my xbox 360.
AT - I just like to relax and think of what is to come.

What sporting venue would you most like to visit?
TG - NCAA finals
AT - A Cowboys vs. Redskins game, with Dallas winning.

When surfing the Internet, what web site do you visit most frequently?
TG/AT - Facebook

Favorite sport to watch (other than T&F):
TG/AT - Football

If someone would look at the songs I have, on my IPOD or computer, I'd be embarrassed for them to see I have this song:
TG - "Toxic" by Britney Spears
AT - The songs I have by Taylor Swift

If you could eat dinner with three other people, living or not, who would they be and why?
TG - Beyonce, Martin Luther King Jr. and Jessica Alba...I'd have two beautiful women with me and have a great man at the table to give me a lot of wisdom.
AT - Martin Luther King Jr., because he is my role model and to learn from his ways. My mother, because I love her so much, no one comes before her and she would probably be jealous I didn't choose her, haha, and Denzel Washington, because everybody loves him and he seems like a cool person to be around.
