Noe Sets New Indoor Pole Vault Record at Hokie Invitational

BLACKSBURG, Va. – A school record in the pole vault highlighted day one of competition for the Radford women's indoor track and field team at the Hokie Invitational at Rector Field House on Friday.  

Sophomore Lindsey Noe (Goldvein, Va. /Liberty-Bealeton) broke Tricia Coughlin's six-year old indoor school record in the pole vault with a height of 3.00m (9'10”), good for 13th in the competition. 

On the track, freshman Jasia Richardson (Richmond, Va. /J.R. Tucker) clocked a season-best time of 8.27 in the 60m. Seniors Brittany Christian (Cary, N.C. / Green Hope) and Lori Crotts (New Castle, Va. /Craig County) each posted a season-best time in their respective distance events. Christian recorded a time of 5:32.83 in the 1,500m, while Crotts finished with a time of 10:20.47 in the 3,000m. 

In the throws competition, sophomore Aimee Veatch (Roanoke, Va./Cave Spring) placed fourth with a distance of 17.90m (58'8”) . 

The Highlanders will be back on the track Jan. 29 for the Liberty Open.
