On a team with tremendous depth and several top runners vying for the No. 1 position, Hedley stood out with his consistency throughout the season. He claimed All-Southeast honors for the second time in his career with his 11th place performance at the NCAA Southeast Regional and netted All-CAA honors for claiming third at the CAA Championship. He also ran in the No. 1 position for the squad in the team's win at Virginia's Lou Onesty Invitational, claiming fourth overall for CAA Runner of the Week honors, and at the Great America Festival where he raced to a strong 15th against a field filled with nationally-ranked competitors. Hedley also competed for the Tribe at its eighth-straight NCAA Championship where he finished 111th.
Landry had one of the most impressive months campaigned by any Tribe harrier, let alone a rookie, and capped his effort with his first All-America honor. Making his in-uniform debut for the Tribe at the CAA Championship, he blazed to runner-up honors at the meet for all-conference honors, finishing second only to junior teammate Matt Keally (Virginia Beach, VA) who won the conference title. Two weeks later, he led the Tribe in his first NCAA Southeast Regional, sparkling by racing to an impressive seventh for all-region honors. Landry topped his season by racing to All-America honors at the NCAA Championship, racing to 38th to become to 10th Tribe harrier to earn All-America honors at the race, and the first Tribe freshman to do so since Ron Martin in 1970.
Alex Gibby was honored as Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive season after leading his team to its fifth-straight CAA title and eighth-straight NCAA qualification. He coached one All-American, four All-Southeast performers, four All-East honorees and eight All-CAA harriers. His squad won the CAA Championship in dominating fashion, sweeping the top four positions and placing nine runners in the top-13 to win by 27 points. He also led the Tribe to the team victory at the Lou Onesty Invitational and to a second-place finish at both the NCAA Southeast Regional and IC4A Championship. Three of his runners combined for four CAA Runner of the Week honors.
The CAA also recognized its all-conference team, composed of the top-12 finishers at the CAA Championship. Led by CAA champion Keally, W&M had eight All-CAA performers, including Landry, Hedley, senior Pat Comstock (Portsmouth, VA), junior Sean Anastasia-Murphy (Gloucester, MA), redshirt freshman Anthony Arena (Manassas, VA), senior Charlie Hurt (Charlottesville, VA) and senior Adam Otstot (Richmond, VA).
