The outdoor season has begun and that means it is time for a quick look into the Middle School Rankings and seeing who are our current leaders. Their season will culminate with the VA Middle School State Meet on May 23rd.
100m Dash
If there was an event that sees the most competitors it is definitely the 100m dash in middle school. To be leading this event means you have races a ton of people and are really fast. Autumn Gregory of Chesapeake leads the way as the only sub 13 girl so far this season.

Out of the sprinters, this one pops out the most. Going sub 58 in middle school is not something you see every day. That is a very fast time and puts her on pace to be a superstar in the high school ranks. These other girls in the top five also have a great chance to break 60 this outdoor season and enter high school already under the "big barrier".
