This Week's Nominees:
Annette McGrath, The St. James Academy (Virginia): Ran 23.89 to win the 200 at the Devin Brewer Invitational, defeating state #2 Lauryn Robertson head-to-head. The time ranks her as the top junior in Virginia in the 200.
Michailyn Rose, Nansemond River (Virginia): Posted 41-2.25 for third place in the triple jump at The 130th Penn Relays celebrating with America250.
Lauryn Robertson, Colgan High School (Virginia): Won the 100 in 11.84 and placed second in the 200 in 24.32 at the Devin Brewer Invitational. Her 100 time topped a field of 59 athletes.
Sophie Rambo, Grassfield (Virginia): Clocked 54.74 to take first in the 400 at the VHSL SE District OTK Regular Season - Meet 3.
Leila Cotton, North Stafford (Virginia): Turned in a strong triple at the Patriot Fast Times Invite sponsored by RunTwisted.com, winning the long jump at 19-6.5, placing second in the 100 in 12.25, and taking third in the 200 in 25.51.
