Moran earned CAA men\'s cross country weekly honor

HARRISONBURG, Va. (9/21/05) – James Madison University junior C.W. Moran (Potomac Falls, Va./Potomac) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week.



Moran won the JMU Invitational on Sept. 17 in the first meet of the season for the Dukes. He covered the 7,900-meter hilly terrain of the New Market Battlefield Course in 25 minutes and 30.4 seconds, winning the race by 18 seconds. Moran, who also won the 2004 JMU Invitational, led the Dukes to a first-place team title.



The Dukes' next competition comes on Sept. 24 in the University of Minnesota Griak Invitational.



The CAA is a Division I member of the NCAA. Member schools that sponsor men's cross country include Delaware, George Mason, Georgia State, Hofstra, JMU, Northeastern, UNC Wilmington, Virginia Commonwealth and William & Mary.
