Loudoun County's Patrick Joseph went from 9th place at Oatlands last weekend to champion this weekend at Maymont in 16:11. Tatnall girls (DE) dominated the invite girls division, while Maggie Walker's Rachel Galton ran down a bunch of runners in the last half mile for third place (19:07) but was not enough to defeat Ocean Lakes at full strength finally with 3 girls in the top 9 for runner-up honors behind Tatnall.
In a showdown for bragging rights for Three Chopt Park where both teams frequently train, the Trinity boys defeated Douglas Freeman in the coastal division led by race winner Guy Shelby (16:32). Atlee girls impressed winning the Coastal girls division against AA #2 ranked Jefferson Forest, while Emily Debrito of North Stafford was the individual winner at 19:48.
