The growth of middle school XC and track is undeniable and it seems we are at the cross roads of when this grows beyond belief.
The regional championships are upon us. Here are all the links and info you need to prepare for the week ahead and to see who will be making the state meet.
The first ever middle school state cross country championships were fast and record setting. Taking home the first team titles were Rappahannock Ospreys on the boys side and Blacksburg Middle on the girls side.

This past weekend was huge. Here are ten head turning moments from it.
This past weekend was full of PR's, all teams, with the exception of Tuscarora, ran at very fast courses. Most schools raced at the Third Battle Invitational in Winchester, VA, and a couple teams travelled to the MileStat Invitational in Mechanicsville, VA.
Richmond teams only attended one meet this weekend - the MileStat.com Invitational - so we'll be doing a deep dive into what went down at Pole Green Park. Glen Allen continued their cohesiveness, and Deep Run's boys did not disappoint. Cosby and Midlothian performed well on the girls' side.

In the newest installment of our power rankings there was only one major change up top and that is the addition of Kellam at number four. Chantilly and James Robinson also joined the rankings for the first time this season. Check out the power rankings below.

Today is the final day to register for the 2019 Middle School State Championships. These championships will be run Sunday, October 27th at Pole Green Park on their extremely fast upper course. For more information see the links below. Registration is open until 10/21/19 at 11:59pm.
