Miss any action this weekend? Here are the top performances from the weekend. We will be adding them throughout Sunday and Monday.
This weekend was simply out of this world for VA T&F! We saw numerous US #1's, tons of new VA #1's, and more then we can count impressive performances! Here are the very best performances from the weekend, to make this list you had to run, jump, or hurdle a very impressive mark or combine it with other events as well.
US #1 6.30 55m Dash, US #3 1:04.67 500m Dash
Well the highlights for this weekend cannot start with anyone except Grant Holloway. He showed us something this week that we knew was possible but thought was improbable of happening. Knowing Grant personally we know he is a competitor, someone who will go to war for you and this weekend he translated that to the track at Boo Williams.
Taking a little time off from his usual events, in preparation for the Virginia Tech Invitational, he blistered a US #1 6.30 55m dash in his debut in the event! That time and mark was crazy because it made him a triple US national leader now in the 55 dash, 55 hurdles, and high jump. The only two events that he has seriously competed in and does not lead the nation in are the 500 and 300. Though he may not be the leader he is US #3 in the 500 and US #1 in the 300 for flat track surfaces.
He will be high jumping, hurdling, and sprinting the 300m dash this weekend at Tech! We will have one of the best all-time races in the 300 and could legitimately see the entire final section break 34 seconds!
