Freshman Christo Landry (Falls Church, VA) ran a spectacular race to earn All-America honors in his rookie season as 2004 CAA Champion William and Mary men\'s cross country competed this afternoon at the NCAA Cross Country Championship. For the second-straight season the Tribe suffered hardship at the NCAA Championship as four Tribe harriers succumbed to food poisoning before the meet, including 2004 CAA Champion Matt Keally and sophomore Keith Bechtol, each of whom have run in the No. 1 spot for the Tribe this year and could not start the race.

Junior Sean Anastasia-Murphy (Gloucester, MA) raced to fifth place overall, leading four Tribe runners earning All-East honors, as 2004 William and Mary CAA Champion men\'s cross country claimed runner-up honors at today\'s IC4A Championship. La Salle won the Championship with 56 points, ahead of the second-place Tribe (87) and third-place Duquesne (109). The College\'s finish in the 20-team meet is all the more impressive considering its top eight runners did not compete, as they will contest the squad\'s eighth-straight NCAA Championship this Monday, November 22.

Sophomore Julia Cathcart (Starkville, MS) claimed a strong sixth-place overall, leading four Tribe All-East performers, as 2004 CAA Champion William and Mary women\'s cross country finished fourth in a tightly-contested ECAC Championship. Cathcart led an impressive showing by the Green and Gold, capped by four All-East performances. Cathcart clocked a solid 17:59 to claim sixth overall for the first All-East honors of her career in cross country.
