Meet Information

The meet will be limited to 30 teams. The meet is sanctioned for Virginia and all surrounding states/municipalities. Over the past three years, we have started the meet at 9:00am and finished by 3:00pm. Cost: $140 for a full team, $90 girls only, $90 boys only. Checks should be made out to Viking Athletic Booster Club (VABC), 3001 Old Bridge Road, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192.
All running events are composed of four member teams, all field events are composed of two member teams. Field event results will be determined by adding each athlete's best attempts together. Both athletes in the field events must receive a mark to score in the team points. Team scoring will be determined by adding both the girls and boys results together for one score per school. There is a large school and small school division that each coach will decide on competing in. There will be awards for the top three schools in each division.All races will be seeded together regardless of team's division. The only race that will not be scored will be the 4 x 800 'B'. Awards given to the top three relays overall, regardless of division. The 4 x 800 'B' winner will receive an award.


Running events: 4 x 100, 4 x 100 hurdles (girls), 4 x 110 hurdles (boys), 4 x 200, 4 x 400, 4 x 800 'A' (scoring), 4 x 800 'B' (non-scoring), 4 x 1600, SMR (400, 200, 200, 800), DMR (1200, 400, 800, 1600)


Field events (two athletes): Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, Discus (horizontal jumps and throws - 4 attempts, no finals, open pit for 1.5 hours), High Jump (4' 4" girls & 5' 4" boys), Pole Vault (6' 0" girls & 7' 6" boys)


Facility - six lane all-weather track, runways and high jump skirt all-weather, boys and girls long jump pits, shot and discus areas separated by 100m.


Other information: the will be an athletic trainer here for emergencies as well as an emergency unit from the local fire department, there will be restroom (not port-a-johns), concessions will be sold, Virginia Runner will be here with their portable store. It is suggested that you bring a tent/canopy, there is not much shade. Also, the only accessibility to food will be the concession stand (which has good food), there is not a store within a mile and a half.
