This years Norfolk Christian Cross Country Invitational will be held on Thursday, October 18th at North Side Park in Norfolk. We hope your team will be able to attend.
MEET ENTRIES:
MileStat.com Entry deadline is Monday, October 15th.
SCHEDULE:
3:15 PM - Co-Ed All-Comers Race Grades 6-12
(Unlimited Entries Grades 6-12)
4:00 PM - Girls Varsity Race - Grades 8-12 Only
(Limited to 10 entries per team)
4:45 PM - Boys Varsity Race - Grades 8-12 Only
(Limited to 10 entries per team)
COURSE:
Even though the course will be clearly marked with paint and cones, we do ask that you please make sure your runners are familiar with the course before the race. We suggest that you arrive early so your runners can walk the course before the meet. We will have copies of the map provided when you check in that afternoon.
MEET INFORMATION:
As you will see, we once again will have a Co-Ed All-Comers race. In years past, we have had too many runners in the Varsity races which over crowds our course. This race has been a success the past two years and it made for smoother races for the participants. Therefore, once again the Varsity races are limited to your Top 10 runners and all participants must be in Grades 8-12. No exceptions!
SCORING:
We will be using the traditional scoring method of top five runners from each school will be the scorers. The sixth and seventh runners will serve as displacers.
DIRECTIONS:
Take I-64 to Tidewater Drive (Exit 277). Get off the interstate and go north on Tidewater. Pass under Little Creek Rd. and proceed approximately mile. Park will be located on your left, across for Pollards Chicken and McDonalds.
Once again, please make note of the entry deadline. If you plan on sending a team and/or individual runners, YOU MUST REGISTER by Monday, October 15th.
