=PR= Kick Off Invitational 2013

  The state's top two ranked runners in Thomas Edison's Louis Colson and George C. Marshall's Mackenzie Haight found each other quickly 200 meters into the junior/senior boys' race at Potomac River Running Kick Off Invitational on Thursday at Bull Run Regional Park. Colson and Haight ran stride for stride on the 2 mile course after a conservative first mile split of 5:06 until the final downhill stretch when Colson shifted gears to pull away for a 14 second victory in 9:57  

Preview for today's =PR= Kick Off Invitational to be held at Bull Run Regional Park in Centreville, Virginia. An opening meet for dozen Northern Virginia schools as they run a series of 2 mile races separated by grade levels (freshmen, sophomore, and junior/senior races), which will likely spread out several team's varsity seven that might include underclassmen. The junior/senior boys' race will be the most anticipated in an early matchup between VA #1 pre-season ranked Louis Colson of Thomas Edison and VA #2 ranked Mackenzie Haight of George C. Marshall.
