**COACHES - Please e-mail me (Mark Love) at the address above once you receive this so I will have your e-mail and be able to get in contact with you if I need to before the meet.

PARTICIPANTS - Crooked Road Conference (Conference 47) cross country teams or individuals: Patrick Henry, Holston. Northwood, Council, Honaker, Hurley, Twin Valley.

ADMISSION - No charge

Entry Form - Entries are due by Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 by 12:00 p.m. Entries will be done online on milestat.com. Go to the calendar page, find the Crooked Road Conference Meet on the calendar, and click on the green online entry icon and enter your runners.

TIME SCHEDULE:

1:45 - Coaches Meeting

2:00 - Girls Varsity

2:30 - Boys Varsity

3:00 - JV and Middle School - if agreed on by the coaches

3:30 - Awards

TRAINER - A certified athletic trainer will be on site

BUSES - There will be park personnel there to park the buses

FACILITIES - Bathrooms are available in the building at the bottom of the dam behind the softball fields. There are no bathrooms at the top of the dam. Team camps can be set up underneath the pine trees. The course goes through the pine trees so make sure you don't set up camp on the course.

MEET INSTRUCTIONS - Only the top seven runners will be allowed to run in the varsity races. Alternate runners may be substituted in the day of the race. The uniform rule will be in effect. Check the rulebook and go over it with your team before the meet.

FINISH LINE - All runners must go through the entire chute to be counted. They will have numbers that they will wear and the tabs will be pulled off in the chute. Also, remind your runners that their singlets must stay on until they are completely through the chute. If they take it off before they are completely through the chute they will be disqualified.

TIMING - Timing will be done by Tim Johnson of TrojanTiming.

RACE RESULTS - The top 2 teams, boys and girls, plus the top 15 individuals will advance to the 1A West Region Meet in Radford. Results will be posted on milestat.

1A WEST REGION MEET ENTRY FORMS: You will need to enter your teams and individuals that qualify for the Region meet on milestat (www.milestat.com). Click on calendar at the top of the page and find the 1A West Region Meet and enter your runners. Paper copy Regional Meet entry forms must be filled out and e-mailed to Mike Carrow, 1A West Region Meet Director. Complete the entry forms which can be found on the VHSL website at www.vhsl.org. The e-mail address for Mike Carrow is mcarrow@rcps.org. You do not need to hand them into me at the end of the conference meet.

AWARDS - The top two teams, boys and girls, will receive trophies. Medals will be awarded to the top 15 individuals, boys and girls.
