II. SITE Wednesday Feb. 8, 2017: Liberty University Indoor
Fieldhouse, Lynchburg, VA. Fieldhouse opens at
5:30pm.
III. ADMISSION $7 for all spectators
IV. PASSES VHSCA-VHSL-VIAAA-VATA-VSBA-Principal state
membership cards.
V. OFFICIALS The starter will be a certified official. Joe Showkwe will be the referee. Jury of appeals TBA.
Each team will be involved in some way in running the meet with assignments at a later date.
VI. QUALIFIERS (1) Two athletes per event regardless of performance.
One relay team per relay event.
(2) To enter more than two athletes per event, all athletes entered in an event must meet the conference 23 or 24 standard in a 3 or more team meet and should be listed on milestat.
(3) If an athlete meets a conference standard in a meet not listed on milestat, the coach must email results of the meet to Rod Camden (conference 23&24 meet director) as soon as possible and no later than 8pm Sunday, February 5, 2017. You may also fax meet results by noon Friday, Feb. 3 to Rod at 434-522-3793.
VII. AWARDS (boys & girls) Awards will be determined by each conferences regulations.
SCORING: We will score top 6 (10-8-6-4-2-1) in individual events and relays.
VIII. ENTRIES You will be entering the meet twice, once on the VHSL
conference entry form and again on milestat. Early entries will be much appreciated!
Milestat entries open on January 23, 2017 and are due by 8pm on Sunday, February 5, 2017 , while VHSL entries should be emailed by 10pm Sunday, February 5.
On the VHSL form you must state the meet and the date of each performance. VHSL entries must be emailed to Rod Camden at camdenrc@lcsedu.net. You may use the best performance in a 3 or more team meet as your seed performance even if it is not a conference qualifier.
When entering on milestat be sure that you enter each event with YOUR CONFERENCE NUMBER!
Remember to include names of potential relay runners
who are not in an individual event on both entries.
MILESTAT ENTRIES ARE FINAL AND MUST MEET THE 3 EVENT RUNNING EVENT RULE. RELAY TEAM MEMBERS ARE NOT FINAL UNTIL THE RELAY CARD IS TURNED IN TO THE CLERK.
Coaches will be emailed a VHSL conference entry form at least a week before the meet or coaches may use indoor track conference entry form at vhsl.org. Remember all performances should be verified on the VHSL form.
You will also be entering on milestat and the milestat entries will be uploaded into the conference meet. If there is a conflict with the milestat entries and VHSL entries that cannot be resolved, the VHSL entry will override the milestat performance (I will attempt to contact the coach first).
IX. SCRATCHES Scratches (without penalty) will be taken at the coaches meeting. No additions will be allowed after the Feb. 5 milestat deadline. Remember you can only enter an athlete in a maximum of 3 running events (including relays) except anyone running the 3200 run is allowed only one other running event (including relays) since this is a one day meet. There is no limit to the number of field events entered.
X. TEAM FOOD Absolutely no food or drinks will be allowed on or

XI. TEAM PERSONNEL All team personnel managers, scorekeepers, etc,
must enter with the team. All team personnel must stay in the track area or the hallways adjacent to the track.
Coachs boxes in the infield for field events will be described at the coaches meeting. Head coaches only will be allowed in the infield (except for coachs boxes in field events).
XII. QUALIFIERS TO REGION: The top 5 athletes and the top 2 relay teams from the conference meet automatically qualify for the region meet. In addition, any athlete or relay team who has a region qualifier in a 3 or more team meet during the season will qualify. If you enter an athlete who did not place in the top 5 or a relay team not in the top 2, I will check milestat to be sure that the athlete/relay team has met the regional standard. Further information will be given at the coaches meeting.
