Capitol Conference 13 CROSS COUNTRY FORMAT

Where: Burke Lake Park, Route 123 approximately 8 miles south of Fairfax
When: Wednesday October 26th
Time: Boys Varsity 1:00pm Girls Varsity 1:30pm
Awards: Medals to the first 3 places. Plaque to team winners
Entry and All entries should be received by Greg Dombrowski / Ivan Chirinos at Edison no
Deadline: later than 4:00p.m on Friday, October 21, 2016 Via Milestat.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN YOUR TEAM NOT BEING ENTERED.
Entries: Each Conference School may enter a team in the boys race and the girls race. Each School is allowed seven scoring entries and three alternates for a maximum of 10 athletes per team per gender. Entry forms due to Greg Dombrowski via gsdombrowski@fcps.edu.
Parking: All participants and patrons should park in parking lot A located near the small train.
Course: 3.0 miles, mostly on grass. Same course used last year.
Numbers: All participants must wear numbers on the front of their shirts. The numbers along with pins and other official materials will be distributed to coaches at the scorers table.
Finish: Finish position numbers will be given to contestants at the end of chute. Coaches are instructed to tell all participants to return the numbers to them. Coaches will collect numbers, total lowest five (5) on tally sheet and return all cards and tally sheet to scorers table. Individuals not competing for the team title will be wearing colored numbers and will not be given finish position numbers.
Award Presentations of awards will take place as soon as official meet results are available.

Locker and There will be no locker facilities available. Rest rooms are located at the Marina,
Rest Rooms: one-half mile from the starting line. Team and managers are to clean their own warm-up areas in the park.
Qualification Conference 13 will get 3 team representatives & 15 individuals (inclusive), conference 14 will get 3 team representatives & 15 individuals (inclusive), conference 15 will get 3 team representatives & 15 individuals (inclusive), and conference 16 will get 3 team representatives & 15 individuals (inclusive). Top 6 teams and top 10 individuals exclusive advance to state competition.
