2017 EMHS CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONALCoachs Information

Varsity: Each team limited to 5-7 runners of VHSL approved Varsity age. Schools unable to field an entire team may enter individual runners. Team or individual entry form and fee must be entered online or received by noon, September 1, 2017.

Entry fee for Varsity races: $55 for one boys or girls team only (includes JV/Developmental runners); $110 for combined boys and girls teams (including JV/Dev.); $11 per individual. Please make checks payable to Eastern Mennonite School.

JV/Developmental: Unlimited entries, grades 9-12. There is no separate fee for the Developmental race (see above). Race will be scored, with recognition given to top 10 finishers.

Middle School: Each team consists of a minimum of 5-7 runners, maximum of 30, in grades 6-8. Schools unable to field an entire team may enter individual runners. Team or individual entry form and fee must be received by noon, September 1, 2017.

Entry fee for Middle School races: $35 for one boys or girls team only; $70 for combined boys and girls teams; $8 per individual. Please make checks payable to Eastern Mennonite School.

Schedule: 8:30 - Girls Middle School Race- 5-30 runners- 6-8th grade- 2 miles
(all times are 9:00 - Boys Middle School Race- 5-30 runners- 6-8th grade- 2 miles

11:30 - Awards ceremony

Course: Races start at the west end of the Peak View track and finish nearby. The course is mostly grass; spikes are recommended in wet weather. Maps included in coaches race-day packets.

Awards: Varsity: Trophies to 1st- 3rd place teams & individual champions; medals to 2nd 20th place finishers.
JV/Dev.: Medals to 1st- 10th place finishers.
Middle School: Trophies to 1st & 2nd place teams; medals to 1st 10th place finishers.

Trainers: Trainers tent located near the finish line; ice available. EMTs are on call throughout the morning.

Etc.: 44th Anniversary t-shirts will be on sale; get yours while supplies last!!!!
Water will be available before & after the races.
There will be a concessions stand.
