Meet Information

September 16th, 2017- Under the Lights

Last year was a ton of fun. This year, we intend to keep the later start time. Have time for family and still get to see a Great Cross Country Event! The relay format really promotes a fun/team oriented atmosphere. THE ENTIRE COURSE WILL BE LIT!!! The races will be run on campus at Lake Braddock Secondary 9200 Burke Lake Rd., Burke, Va 22015. We will have a DJ playing music throughout and give-aways! There are open races for youth, parents, coaches! Everyone can participate!

Course map:

We will be limiting the field to 25 schools. Reserve your teams spot now by emailing Coach Mangan at

The race will be run on multiple surfaces with some hills. (Flats recommended over spikes) Each runner will run a 2500 meter loop. The course is quite spectator friendly.

WHY SHOULD WE RUN THIS EVENT?: It is a fresh break from the traditional CC format. It is also a low maintenance coaching event. Great access to athletes and no need to deal with formal entries. We ask each coach to send Coach Mangan a note on Thursday before the event with an approximate number of extra racers per gender so we can balance the sections.

COST: $200/school -- unlimited entrants.
Checks made out to: Lake Braddock Boosters c/o LBSS Cross Country9200 Burke Lake RdBurke, Va 22015.
