Greater Danville Metro XC Championships
Tunstall High School (NOTE THE CHANGE)
Schedule of Events:
Course will open at 3:00 p.m.
Coaches Meeting at 4:00 by the finish line.
Varsity Girls 5K-4:15 p.m.
Varsity Boys 5K-5:00 p.m.
Meet Directors:
Mark Bryant - Head Coach of Cross Country- Galileo Magnet High School
Vaughn Popeney - Associate Head Coach of Cross Country- Galileo Magnet High School
Meet Timing will be provided by RunRoanoke for each varsity race and printed results will be available following the awards ceremony.
The developmental race will be scored manually on a separate spreadsheet
Registration & Team Packets: If you and your team are interested in attending, please register your team through MileStat. On the MileStat calendar, you will need to choose the Filter "show all" to find the meet. Please note that middle school runners will be allowed to participate in a separate race. More details will be provided at the coaches meeting. Team packets will be available for pick-up at the finish line upon arrival.
Awards: Will be given at the conclusion of the meet in the finish area of the park.
Varsity Races: Medals top 15, Trophies - Individual and Team Champion
Developmental Race - Medals to top 5 finishers of each sex.
Restrooms: Limited restrooms are available on site. There are no dressing rooms available.
Team areas: There is a large picnic shelter available on a first come first serve basis, but please be considerate to allow space for other teams to also utilize the shelter. Team canopies are acceptable and may be established in the grass adjacent to the picnic shelter or along the tree line adjacent to the river.
Parking for buses will be behind the picnic shelter. Spectators may park in the parking lot or along the driveway. Please do not park in the grass or on the gravel road adjacent to the picnic area.
