The 19th Gar-Field Invitational - MAY 4, 2019
**** We will begin the 4 x 800 relay at 10:00****There are NO SLOW sections of the 3200m in the morning.
****The meet will be on a rolling time schedule after the 4 x 800m relay - girls will run first****
Eight lane all weather track. Spectator friendly; view ALL field events from a single location. Multiple jump pits and adjacent high jump apron are ideal for the multi-event athlete. Shot and discus within 100 feet of each other.
Location: Gar-Field High School - Directly across from Potomac Mills Mall
Entry Fee - $250.00 per school (both teams) or $150 for a single gender.

Scoring: 6 places 10-8-6-4-2-1
Entries - NEW: each school is allowed 35 entries per gender but a max of six competitors per event except relays. Schools are allowed only one team per gender per relay event. Entries must be completed using the milestat.com entry system.
A coaches' lunch will be provided.
Awards: Medals for top six individual place finishers and top two relays. We will also award an outstanding male and female performer for both the field and running events. There will be a TEAM TROPHY to the TOP team in the boys and the girls division.
Admission is $6.00, Seniors 65+ and kids under 6 are free.
Concessions and T-Shirts will be sold throughout the meet.

Field events - 4 attempts no finals for Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and Discus - First legal attempt is measured. Thereafter the following minimum standards must be met.
Discus: Boys - 100' Girls - 75'
Shot Put: Boys - 40' Girls - 30'
Long Jump: Boys - 18' Girls - 14' 6
Triple Jump: Boys - 38' Girls - 28'
Jumps are open pit - duration of the open pit will be determined by the number of athletes entered.
Starting Height for Pole Vault: Boys 9' Girls 7'
Starting Height for High Jump: Boys 5' 4" raised 2' until 6' then one inch
Girls 4' 4" raised 2" until 5' then one inch
Field events begin at 9:15
Girls Shot Put followed by Boys
