Meet Date: Tuesday, May 14 starting at 3:00 pm with the Coaches meeting starting at 2:30PM. Do not arrive on LHS Campus prior to 2:15PM.

VHSL Entry: Entries will be submitted to Milestat by Saturday evening, May 11, 11:59pm. A copy of the VHSL Entry Form
should also be submitted by the same deadline, and these may be emailed to Lori Mattson at
lmattson@bedford.k12.va.us or Coach Wiese at bwiese@bedford.k12.va.us. On the VHSL form, you will need to
state the meet and date of each performance. Remember to include the names of any potential relay runners
who are not entered in an individual event.
Email Address: Each head coach is asked to send Lori Mattson, by email (lmattson@bedford.k12.va.us), his or her email
address so that any needed direct communication can be accomplished.
Entries: Individual Entries: Each team is allowed to enter two individuals per individual event., including field
events plus any athlete who has met the district standard. Relay Entries: Each team is allowed to enter one relay per relay event.
Admission: All tickets are $6.
Passes Honored: Seminole passes will be honored along with VHSL Principal, VHSL Coaches Passes, VIAAA, and VHSCA passes
will be honored.
Weather Issues: If weather is an issue on either date, the rain date is Th, May 16, 2019.
Areas of Emphasis:

Please make sure all athletes comply with the uniform rule.
pyramid spikes are allowed on the Liberty outdoor track.
No personal music equipment can be in use; athletes with headphones on cannot hear the instructions or clerk calls.
All running events take priority over field events.
When an athletes event has been called, he/she needs to make sure to report asap.
No jumping the fence. All athletes must use a gate to enter the competition area.
Scoring: We will score this meet as a Championship Meet using that scoring format:
Individual Event Scoring will be 10-8-6-4--2-1 for 6 places and the same for relays.

Awards: There will be a championship trophy per gender and a plaque for Coach-of-the-Year and Athlete-of-the-Year per gender. Medals will be awarded to individuals for each event.
Athletic Trainer: Brian Sennett of Liberty will be on duty for any athletic training needs. Ice will be available, and Brian is willing to tape anyone who needs to be taped, but each school needs to bring their own supplies tape and prewrap to be used for this taping.

VHSL Entry Forms:
These are also attached and may be used as worksheets.
Fan Seating: All spectators must remain in the bleachers or in designated areas for fans. This prevents fans from interfering with any competitor in action.
Field Event Judges:
Field events will be run by coaching staffs of the participating schools.

Regional Qualifiers: The top 6 3A performers from each event plus those who have met regional qualifying standards as published by the VHSL advance to Region 3C. Not sure of the Regional qualifications for the 4A schools.

For athletes safety and meeting time restraints of a one day meet we will be limiting jumps and throws:
Long jump= 4 jumps no finals
Triple jump= 4 jumps no finals
Shotput= 4 throws no finals
Discus= 4 throws no finals
