Meet Information
Date: Wednesday, May 15, 2019 Weather Date: Thursday, May 16, 2019
Time: Coaches meeting 3:30pm; Events start at 4pm
Location: Virginia High School Track Complex- 1200 Long Crescent Drive, Bristol, VA 24201
Entry Deadline: Entries must be received by 1:00pm on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019
Teams are limited to 4 entries per event/1 relay team plus anyone that has met state qualifying mark in an approved sanctioned meet.
Facilities: Eight lane synthetic track. Long, Triple, and High Jump areas are also synthetic. Athletes will be allowed to use quarter inch spikes only or flats.
All running events will be timed with FAT System.
Field Events: Shot, discus, long jump, and triple jump - each entry will have three (3) attempts with a minimum-NO FINALS. High jump starting height determined by Games Committee.
Running Events: Heats and lanes drawn and assigned prior to meet.
They will be determined by submitted (FAT) times. All races will be finals
Dressing: Dressing facilities will be available on sight.
Concessions: Concessions will be sold.
Awards:Team trophies will be presented to the first place girls and boys team. Individual awards will be presented to the first, second, and third finisher in each event. Top 6 finishers advance to regional meet. Anyone who has state qualified prior to this event will be scored for meet purposes, but will not count in terms of regional advancement.
Scoring: Scoring for all events including relays will be: first - 10, second- 8, third- 6, fourth- 4, fifth - 2 and sixth- 1. Athletes competing in this event that have met state qualifying mark will score points for their team, but will not count in determining the top 6 that advance to the regional meet.
Participation: The meet will run in accordance with the National Federation of State High School Athletic Associations of the Track and Field Rules, as well as, the VHSL rule requirements.
Admission: $5 entry per Southwest District Handbook. Children under 6 admitted free of charge. Only passes on VHSL approved pass list will be accepted.

4:00pm Field Events: Boys Long Jump, followed by Boys Triple Jump Girls Long Jump, followed by Girls Triple Jump Girls Discus, followed by Girls Shot Put Boys Shot Put, followed by Boys Discus Boys High Jump Girls High Jump
4:45pm Running Events will follow a pre-set time schedule that will be shared at the coaches meeting with events in this order:
