Entries and Fees:

3 athletes per individual event, 1 relay per team.

$10 per event per athlete, $20 per relay.

The maximum entry fee is $125 per team and $225 per school.

More entries can be made for $5 per individual event and $10 per relay.

Entry deadline is Thursday, April 23rd at 9:00 PM which allows coaches ample time to make accurate entries. There will be no additions or changes after the deadline.

Competition Information:

All running events will in sections as timed finals, fast to slow.

The DMR will be run 1200, 400, 800, 1600

The throwers 4x100 relay must contain athletes who compete in either the shot or the discus during the meet.

Check-in: There will be no declaration or advanced check in. Athletes will be asked to report to the clerk on the second call of their event. Once athletes report they will be asked to stay in the clerking area where they will be marshaled to their starting line. The clerking area is located on the apron near the 100 starting line.

Field event athletes will check in at their event site.

Failure to check-in will result in the athlete being scratched.

Field events will be contested from least to greatest. Please be accurate with your marks.

Athletes will be given three trials in the long and triple jumps, shot and discus. The top eight will advance to the finals where they will receive three more trials. We will be measuring all marks.

Opening Heights for the High Jump will be 4'2" for girls and 5'2" for boys. Opening Heights for the Pole Vault will be determined based on entries.

Scoring will be for the top six places as follows: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.

The first six places will receive medals in each individual event and top three relay teams. The top three place teams will each receive a trophy. Individual MVP awards will be presented to the top boys and girls track events student-athlete and the top boys and girls field event student-athlete.

Only Pyramid spikes may be used being no longer than 1/4" in length. Athletes will be asked to bring their spikes to check in. Immediate disqualification will result if invalid spikes are used.

Concession Stand: There will be a full concession stand for all student-athletes, parents, and spectators.

T-Shirts: Short sleeve cotton Invitational shirts will also be available for sale for $15.

Coaches Hospitality: There will be a coaches' hospitality lunch available. Please check your team packets for tickets.

Admission: There will be a $5 admission fee to all spectators.

Directions:

Traveling I-81, take Exit 118 which leads onto a collector lane that you will follow to Exit 118-B (to Blacksburg) which becomes the route 460 West bypass. Stay on Route 460 heading west. Take the 2nd Price's Fork Road exit which will loop around and send you heading west. Continue on Price's Fork Road past Foxridge Apartments (on the left), shopping center (on the left), volunteer fire department (on the right), Kipps Elementary School (on the left), and Blacksburg Middle School (on the left). Continue past BMS and turn left into the BMS bus loop following the signs for bus and / or spectator parking.
