2019 4C Cross Country Meet

Date: Thursday, November 7, 2019

Location: Kernstown Battlefield, Winchester, VA               Course: 5000 meters- (map below)

TIME SCHEDULE:

11:00 am                     Course Opens             

12:15 pm                     Coaches Meeting at the Barn near the Finish Line

1:00 pm                       Girls Championship

1:45 pm                       Boys Championship

AWARDS:

Will be presented at the conclusion of the races at the Barn near the Finish Line

ADMISSION:           

Admission will be charged according to Region policy.  The cost of admission will be $7.00 general

admission.  Region 4C, VHSL, VHSCA,VASSP, NASSP, VIAAA, and VHSL Principal's Passes will be honored for the bearer only.

CONCESSIONS

Concessions will be available. Thanks Handley XC parents!


T-SHIRTS

T-shirts will be available to purchase.


TRASH

Please use trash bags provided and leave by Barn near the Finish Line when your team leaves.


PARKING:

Buses should turn into the parking lot field immediately upon entering the property. They can unload runners near the portable restrooms at the end of the field. They should then loop around the field and park along the fence row near the entrance. In the event of too much rain, buses should not proceed past the ticket booth in the parking lot field. In NO instance should buses proceed down the road past the ticket booth to the buildings. 

We request that parents or others driving to the meet park in the area designated for parking immediately to the left as you enter the battlefield, refrain from parking entering the course and stay away from the buildings on the property.

ENTRIES:

Attention District Meet Directors:  Entry information will be sent as the meet approaches. 

ADVANCEMENT: 

The top 4 teams at the district championship race advance to the region championship.  The top 15

individuals at the district championship race, inclusive of team scoring/advancement, advance to the region championship.  The top 3 teams at the region championship race advance to the state championship. 

The top 5 individuals, exclusive of team scoring/advancement, advance to the state championship.


TIMING & SCORING:

Chip timing and scoring will be used through 5RunnersRacing

DRESS: 

No dressing room, dress at home.  Portable restrooms are onsite for use.
