Meet Information
On May 1, Broadwater Academy on Virginia's Eastern Shore will host one of the few track & field meets in the United States that features track events contested on a grass surface. Running events will consist of relays run on a 400m track that is accurately measured, mowed low, and rolled as flat as possible.
Field events will be contested on paved surfaces, including separate discus and shot put circles and a rubberized runway for LJ, TJ, and PV events. Field events will also be scored in relay format with a team's top 3 marks in each respective event being added up to determine their score in each event.
Field events will be contested in an open-pit format with each student-athlete receiving 4 attempts.
All events will have JV and Varsity divisions.
Varsity competitors should be in Grades 8-12. JV competitors should be in grades 6-10.
Track events are listed below. Breaks taken as needed. We are open to adding other events and adjusting event order as requested.
