Meet Information
In the boys race Kempsville had a strong showing of depth and easily won. Cox was second and Norfolk Academy was third. Wesley Carroll(Stonebridge) running in his first cross country meet ever outkicked the lead group that included Phillip Blankenship(Kempsville) and Tyler Knight(Cox) for the win.
In the girls race Norfolk Academy got out extremely fast in the first half of the race and looked to have an easy win. However, a very young and patient St. Catherine's team that improves every week didn't settle in and charged back into the race. Anne Finley Vaughan(St. Cath) caught Sophie Wolfe(NA) in the last mile of the race and gradually broke away from her for the win. Michelle Gray from Cox was 3rd. Ali Doswell(St Cath) and Heather Clagett(NA) rounded out the top five which were all under 20 minutes. St. Catherines by 7 over Norfolk Academy.
