2:30 FINALS (ALL RUNNING EVENTS WILL BE FINALS DONE BY SECTIONS FROM SLOWEST TO
1.) A Group 1A Region A Entry Form must show the top four Group 1A school finishers among each district in
their respective district championship meet:
Example using Tri-Rivers
1. Sam (Sussex Central-1A)
2. Bob (Greensville-3A)
3. Joe (Surry- 1A)
4. Mike (Windsor- 1A)
5. Chris (Brunswick- 2A)
6. Patrick (Surry- 1A)
In this scenario, Sam, Joe, Mike, and Patrick would advance to the Group 1A Region A championship meet.
2.) individuals per event and top four (4) relay teams qualify for the state
meet from the regional meet unless state qualifying standards have been
attained. Team entries must be made through Milestat.com. Entries and
qualifying standards must be verified via email to the Regional Director. Any

MEET!!!!!! PLEASE READ AND BE FAMILIAR WITH ALL RULE CHANGES AS LISTED IN THE
NFHS RULE BOOK AND THE RULES CLINIC FOR COACHES AND OFFICIALS ON THE VHSL
No additions will be allowed at this meeting. Only deletions and corrections
will be allowed. Heats and Sections may be re-seeded after the meeting.
EQUIPMENT: Each team is responsible for providing their own shot, discus,
baton, etc. Sussex Central High School will provide starting blocks. All
competitors must use 1/4 inch pyramid spikes of flats while competing.
Violations of maximum length spikes will result in disqualification.
Competitor(s) shall be disqualified from his/her event if a coach or team
member is in the infield area designated for competition. THIS ONLY APPLIES
WHEN RUNNING EVENTS ARE IN PROGRESS. These areas must have competitors who are
actually competing. Each contestant in the running events must check in with
the Clerk of the Course in the designated area by the final call. Running
events take precedent over field events. No track event will be held up for a
contestant. Coaches are reminded to be familiar with the 2019 NFHS Track &
Field Rules Book: The ultimate responsibility to have each competitor compliant
with the uniform rule is with the coach.
SCORING: Points for all events will be awarded on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 for the top
six (6) places.
AWARDS: Boys and Girls Team Championship Trophy
Boys and Girls Team Runner-Up Trophy
Medals and Ribbons for First (1st) to Fourth (4th) Place Finishers
Boys and Girls Outstanding Performer Trophy
