Bay River District meet for York, Tabb, Grafton and Bruton High School on 31 March 2021
York HS welcomes all of you to the BRD XC meet at York HS on March 31st. We look forward to hosting this event and having each of you on our XC course. Please forward your list of XC athletes in an excel spreadsheet with name and seed times to Coach Tate & Coach Schasse at ktate@ycsd.york.va.us & eschasse@ycsd.york.va.us no later than noon on Saturday, March 27th.
We will be running two heats in the boys and girls' events. We will start with boys' heat 2 at 4:30 pm and heat 1 at 5:05 pm; girls' heat 2 at 5:45; heat 1 at 6:20. Heat 1 will be the top five seed times. If time allows, we will start boys heat 2 earlier as well as both girls. If you have any scratches or changes you can send via email or address it upon arrival at York HS on race day.
We will have a designated area for each school to put up your canopy if you desire to do so, and we will provide an athlete to show your team the course. We will have the course marked well with paint, flags, and signs. Red flags for a left turn, yellow flags for right turns, and blue flags indicating the course is straight ahead. We will have volunteers out on the course. The course is not spiked friendly as the first .75 mile is grassy (with a hill) will the .75 to about 2.70 is on the asphalt part of Yorktown Battlefields.
