Schedule of events
Course opens- 3:00 pm Coaches Meeting- 3:50pm
Girls Championship Race- 4:00 pm (Top 7 runners only)
Boys Championship Race- 4:30 pm (5 minutes after last Girl) (Top 7 Runners only)
MS/Running Club 3K and Alternate Race 5:00pm
Qualification to Regionals- All teams qualify for respective region championships (10 can enter 7 can run)
Coaches-Be sure AD's give each school All PD medals to distribute on Wednesday
Awards-There will no official awards (Coaches will distribute ALL-PD medals to their own team and
team champions trophy will be delivered to respective school once ordered)
Host School- Bassett High School (Coaches Kevin Underwood and Brandy Arnold)
Athletes- All athletes will wear a mask at all times unless they are warming up, preparing to
run, racing, cooling down or can maintain 10 feet separation. (Each school will monitor themselves)
Spectators - There will be no charge to attend this PD meet. Spectators must wear a mask and social distance 10 feet unless they are from the same family. Hand sanitizer will be provided in several locations. Coaches it will be each school's responsibility to monitor and regulate parents and athletes from corresponding schools to follow guidelines above. The meet director will monitor his team and parents but will be immersed in running an efficient well-run meet which is what our athletes deserve.
Max occupancy is 250 people in total but could be changed

Entries- Teams will enter through the Milestat platform at www.miletstat.com

Appeals-Three coaches will be selected at coaches meeting for jury of appeals if needed
Team Tent Area- Team will be separated and must be spaced out to provide separation and to help
mitigate transmission of Covid-19
Halifax- Left side of soccer field near switchback trail
Tunstall- Center of Soccer Field (Bassett will supply tent if needed)
Bassett- Right Side of Golf Range
Magna Vista- Left side of Golf Range
George Washington- On top of hill near finish (They were there last week)
Patrick County- Right side of soccer field
Course- Course is all grass and trails course will be well marked with orange flags,
white paint, and cones
Awards-Top 15 All PD for both Varsity Races and Top 5 for MS (This will be done by each school at each team tent) Pics will be taken
Refreshments- Teams will provide their own refreshments because of Covid restrictions
Trainer- Trainer will be on site but if not Ice and bags will be available if needed for athletes by host school. If not local coverage from Rescue squad will be provided.
Buses- Once teams are dropped off at the entrance to XC course buses must park in the main parking lot
Bathrooms- There are bathrooms located at the main complex, bottom fields area and there is a porta-john located near the start line (Coaches help us by telling your runners to not tear up the bathrooms)
