Meet Information
The Cumberland District Cross Country Championships will be held
at Wilderness Road State Park in Ewing, VA on Wednesday, October 27th, 2021.
Registration is open on milestat. Please have your entries in by the deadline
which is Monday, October 25th by 4 PM
Along with doing the entries online, you will need to fill out the district
entry form sheet which can be found on the VHSL website and email them to landon.smith@lee.k12.va.us. Go to www.vhsl.org. At the
top of the page click on forms, then click on athletics, then cross country,
then cross country district entry form.
The top two teams plus the top 15 individuals will advance to the Region 1D
Cross Country Meet which will be held at Sugar Hollow Park on Wednesday,
November 3rd. Just to make sure everyone understands, if you are not on
one of the top two teams who qualify for the Region meet you must place in the
top 15 to qualify for the region meet as an individual.
The course for the Cumberland District Meet will be open upon arrival if any
athletes wish to walk or jog the course prior to the race.
Regional meet entry forms must be filled out and turned into Landon Smith, Jeff
Lamb or Nicki Brewer before you leave. This form can be found on the VHSL
website right below where the district entry form is located. You will also
have copies of this form in your packet.
Entries also must be done online on milestat. Go to the calendar page and find
the Region 1D Cross Country Meet, click where it says online entry and then
click where it says register online now and enter your qualifying athletes in
the meet.
Time Schedule:
12:30 PM - Coaches Meeting
1:00 PM - Combined JV/Middle School
1:30 PM - Girls Varsity
2:15 PM - Boys Varsity
3:00 PM - Awards
