Grade Level:
Open to runners in grades 5-9 that compete on a sub-Varsity level.
Events and Estimated Time Schedule
4:00pm Girls & Boys 3200-meter run
4:20pm Girls 400-meter run
4:45pm Boys 400-meter run
5:10pm Girls 1600-meter run
5:25pm Boys 1600-meter run
5:40pm Girls 800-meter run
5:50pm Boys 800-meter run
6:00pm Girls 4 x 400-meter relay
6:15pm Boys 4 x 400-meter relay
Other Important Information
1. The 3200 and 1600 will utilize waterfall starts (no lane assignments).
The 800 and 4x400 will also use a waterfall start but will utilize a 1-turn
stagger running in 2 alleys. The individual 400 will be run in
lanes. Multiple heats will be run depending on the number of entrants in
each event. Heats will be anywhere from 6-14 runners, depending on the
event. No blocks will be allowed at this meet.
2. This will NOT be a scored meet. In place of an entry fee, we require one
volunteer per school to help time. Upon finishing, the timers
will report their stopwatch time to the results manager. Results will be
emailed after the meet. It is also recommended that coaches time their
own athletes as back-up.
3. You must enter an accurate seed time for EVERY ATHLETE/RELAY TEAM to
ensure proper seeding. The 400 is restricted to 6 entries per gender per
team, due to being a lane-assigned race. You may have unlimited entries
in all other events. Entries are due by Thursday, April 28th at 9:00pm. This will
give us time to figure out heats and timing logistics. A heat sheet will
be emailed out on Friday 4/29.
4. Please bring your own batons for the 4 x 400 relay if possible.
5. Since results will be hand-timed, these times CANNOT be used for league/state
qualifying purposes.
