FUMA Indoor Track Invitational 2002

Fork Union, VA
Hosted by Fork Union

Meet Information

Dear Coach,

We are pleased to invite your school to the 2002 Fork Union Invitational. I would like to take this time to welcome our new sponsor SUB4NETWORKS. Our meet will be making a few changes this year in order to offer an even better product. Please read the following guidelines carefully as they are different from previous years.

1. The meet is limited to 1,000 entered athletes. The deadline for entering is January 14, 2002. If 1,000 entries have been received before the 14th all entries past that will be returned. Please enter early! The cost is $8.00 per athlete entered. Relays are $8.00 as well.

2. Entry standards must be adhered to in fairness to the entry limit. Please do not enter athletes that have not met the standard.

3. There will be no internet entries this year due to National Federation Rules.

In addition to new entry guidlines, we are happy to make two new improvements to the meet. This year we will offer customized individual awards and will add Hy-Tek scoring and results.

We ask that all qualifying performances be from major meets such as LATFC, Viking, East Coast, CNU Showcase, etc. Also, last year's performances from Regional, State and Prep League meets are acceptable. Your help is needed in the following areas:

1. Keep all spiked shoes off non-track areas. This could become a spikeless meet.

2. Keep all participants out of campus buildings, especially the barracks. Anyone caught in the barracks will be dismissed from the meet.

3. All entries are final. No updates or revisions please.

4. Please do not bring individuals to the meet who are not competing.

5. The entry fee must accompany the entry. In the past we allowed the check to follow, but several schools entered and then never showed up thus, slowing down the meet.

We look forward to seeing you on January 19th and please feel free to contact me at 434-842-1379 or winbrown@cstone.net. Take care and good luck this season!

Winston Brown
