Walsingham Academy Cross Country Invitational

LOCATION: Eastern State Hospital, Newport News, VA
DIRECTIONS: From I-64E take exit 242A (Route 199 West). Follow for 5 stop lights and exit at Longhill Rd. Take a right. From I-64W take exit 234(Route 199 East) and exit at Longhill Rd. and take a left. Once on Longhill follow for about a mile, bearing right. At the first light, make a right (Plumeri Baseball Park is on your left). Follow road for about 2 blocks until it crosses another road.
General Parking is to the right of this intersection. For teams and event staff, take a left at the intersection and a right at the next road. Follow to team parking lot at the end of the road.
RACE SCHEDULE:
3:40 All JV Runners boys and girls (unlimited entries/Grades 7-10 allowed)
4:20 Varsity Girls (7 runners only) (8-12)
4:50 Varsity Boys (7 runners only) (8-12)
ENTRIES: Please email a roster of 12 possible varsity participant boys and 12 possible varsity girls to mdaly@walsingham.org by September 14, 2009. The Varsity race is open to Grades 8 thru 12.
JV race is open to grades 7-12
THE COURSE: 3.1 miles on mostly grass and woods, see attached course map
SCORING: The VARSITY RACES will be scored. Runners will be given race numbers and pins. Results will be emailed as soon as possible on Friday. September 25
AWARDS: Medals to the top 10 finishers in each Varsity Race and the top
10 boy JVs and the top 10 girl JVs. Team Trophy to the top 2 teams in each Varsity Race. Trophies provided by Fleming
