Meet Information
If you would like to attend the 2nd annual Becky Selfe Invitational at Patrick Henry High School in Glade Spring, Va, e-mail me at mlove@wcs.k12.va.us.
The meet will be held across the street from Patrick Henry High School at the Va. Tech Research Facility. It is a 3.1 mile course and the middle school race will be 1.5 miles. The Open race is 3.1 miles and the 3-5 grade race will be 1,000 meters.
There will be 6 races:
9:00 - Open Race
9:05 - 3-5 grade race (1000 meters)
9:45 - Girls Varsity(top seven)
10:30 - Boys Varsity(top seven)
11:15 - Combined JV(girls/boys)
12:00 - Combined Middle School
(6,7, and 8 girls/boys)
NOTE:
The middle school race will have a different starting line than it did last year. It was the only way that we could get the distance that we wanted and have it finish at our finish line.
The entry fee is $60.00 per school or $30.00 per team. Individual runners (less than 5) will be $3.00 per runner. The open race is $5.00 per runner. You can send your entry fee to Patrick Henry High School, 31437 Hillman Highway, Glade Spring, Va 24340. Make checks payable to Patrick Henry High School and please write on the memo line of the check that it's for cross country.

Directions:
Take I-81 to the Emory exit(take a right off the exit if traveling south, take a left off the exit if traveling north). You will follow this road for 2 to 2 1/2 miles. You will pass Emory and Henry on your right and then you will pass Patrick Henry High School on your left. After you pass Patrick Henry will come to a railroad crossing. After you cross the tracks you will take a right into the Virginia Tech Agricultural Research and Extension Center. There will be parent volunteers at the entrance to guide you where to park.
There will be t-shirts as well as concessions on sale at the meet. The cost of the t-shirts is $15.00.
